Taste the Sun and Sea in the Caribbean Cuisine of Barbados!

Barbados, the pearl of the Lesser Antilles, is a Caribbean island synonymous with stunning white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and a laid-back atmosphere. The country is proud of its British heritage, but remains purely Caribbean at heart and in the kitchen. Barbados is a place where reggae music blends with the aroma of spices and where hospitality is a part of daily life. It is the ideal spot for an escape into the sun and gastronomic delights.

Barbadian cuisine, known as Bajan Food, is as spirited as its people. It is a fusion of fresh seafood, local spices, and tropical fruits. The national dish is Cou-Cou (cornmeal and okra porridge) served with Flying Fish, which is steamed or pan-fried. Other popular dishes include the hearty Macaroni Pie, crispy fish cakes, and meat marinated in a piquant blend of herbs and spices. And of course, rum, which has been distilled here for over 350 years, is an integral part of the Barbados experience!
